  0 0 Here's some guidance that the state of Pennsylvania has issued. Homeless Voter Registration On the mail-in voter registration forms there is a map -- so one can note the place where he/she spends most of his or her time; and this will then serve as the individual’s residence.  For the mailing address, which may be a post office box, he/she may use general delivery at a post office or a shelter where he/she spends time. Also, note that a registered voter who is homeless may vote in person at his or her polling place.  Starting with the November 2012 election, all Pennsylvania voters will be required to show one of the acceptable forms of photo identification at the polling place. If a voter cannot afford to obtain an acceptable ID, including the free PennDOT Photo ID discussed below, without the payment of a fee (for example, the cost of a certified birth certificate or transportation to a PennDOT Driver’s License Center to obtain the free PennDOT Photo ID), the voter can vote provisionally at the polling place and sign an affirmation to this effect. No Certified Copy or Original Birth Certificate For someone born in a southern state - and not Pennsylvania, he/she will need to contact the appropriate agency of the state in which he or she was born to find out how to request a certified copy of his or her birth certificate.  If born in Pennsylvania though, he/she can contact the Pennsylvania Department of Health online, by mail or in person.  One can even request an application online at www.health.state.pa.us or over the phone, by calling 1-877-PA HEALTH (1-877-724-3258).   Register online before deadline?

  0 0 In Pennsylvania you can not register to vote online. You can use Rock the Vote's online tool to help you fill out your voter registration form. Your form needs to be post-marked by Tuesday 10/11/2011. You could also use our online tool to fill out your form and drop it off at your local board of elections office.   What are loophole type primaries?

  0 1 Pennsylvania's primaries are closed primaries. This means that you can only participate in a particular party primary if you are registered for that party. If you want to vote in the Republican Primary you will need to be a registered republican so on and so forth. Read about PA primary info here. Good news!   After I mail my registration form to vote in the mail about how long does it take to get a voters card back? I heard it can take up to 14 days.

  Can I vote at a venue in my own town, if my address is in the same town but different county?

  I registered in GA and I now live in PA how does that work?

  0 0 If you didn't register to vote in Pennsylvania, you cannot vote in Pennsylvania. If you are registered to vote in Georgia, you would be eligible to vote in Georgia, but would have needed to request an absentee ballot if you are not in the state on Election Day. The deadline to request an absentee ballot from Georgia or to register to vote in Pennsylvania has passed, so unless you are in Georgia today it may be impossible to vote.   I'm in college in Allentown and I'm registered to vote in Ardmore and I can't go back home to vote, how can I vote? Is it possible to vote here?

  0 0 The only way to vote away from home is with an absentee ballot, which you would have had to request a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, the only way to vote in Allentown is to be a registered voter in Allentown and the voter registration deadline has passed, too. If there is any way to get home to vote, please do!   I'm a registered independent and wanted to clarify if I could vote this upcoming Tuesday in PA?

  0 0 Absolutely. All voters get the same ballot during a general election (which is what is happening on Tuesday). Only during the primary elections are there rules about unaffiliated voters participating in the political parties' primaries. No worries with this election. Happy voting!
